Wortham reports on MySpace's efforts to curtail access by registered sex offenders to the popular online social network. MySpace took these efforts in response to legal action taken by two state attorneys general. (Facebook received the same legal attention, but it has yet to respond.) The article references the Internet Safety Technical Task Force, which is hosted by the Berkman Center for Internet and Society at Harvard University. If you are interested in the legal aspects of technology, both of these sites would be useful.
